I’m getting a sense of the philosophical direction you’re taking with this and I’m so into it. Really excited to see how it plays out. I love the way you’re using recognizable imagery (bread+wine, king, etc) to make your point crystal clear without having to be too didactic about it. I’ll be honest, I’m not a religious person so I was skeptical of a story self-proclaimed as Christian, but, like I said, your first few lines grabbed me enough that I gave it a chance anyway, and I’m so glad I did. You’ve got me hooked.
That's so encouraging to hear, thanks again for your comment! Ultimately my hope is to write a great story with some interesting questions hehe. If you're hooked so far I must be doing something right!
A father gives his life to free his son
The son doesn't easily accept the gift
From unknown thoughts, Wyrd things
open a dark evil rift.
But that father sacrificed himself to save his son
and that's not something easily won.
